Windows movie maker - help pleeeeease!
@ Sunday, 10. Aug, 2008 – 10:48:45 am
CRC's made a movie out her time-lapse photos of a poppy.
But it's very, very slow. She's tried everything to increase the frames per second, or frame duration - but nothing's worked.
Can anyone help please?
I'd really appreciate it - it's her first movie and she's driving me mad about it.
Thanks very much.

I saw an unusual spot of sunshine, so I ran outside to enjoy it.

Now I'm chillin' with my catnip rainbow.

@ Monday, 19. Nov, 2007 – 03:00:31 pm
It's still rainy outside today, and we're all going a bit stir-crazy.
I go from one door to the other - but it's raining at all of them

Crc gave me a nice brush and a snack though, so I've forgiven her for the awful weather.

Jazzy and the art of stealth.
Aww bless her, she's too young to realise that sitting in the bird table won't get you a nice juicy bird

The bird table came with the house, and though we continually ask CRC to put bread on it, she steadfastly refuses

Honestly! You'd think our intentions weren't honorable.

Jazz's first time outside
@ Wednesday, 19. Sep, 2007 – 01:35:51 pm
Jazz wouldn't let CRC put the cat-harness on her for her first time outside today. But I think she'll be ok because........................
She has Ceefer to watch over her.
And now after that huge adventure, a serious nap is required! She's flaked out on CRC's lap awwww.
I take much better photos than CRC, as you can see
But with my guidance I'm sure she'll improve.

............it's too rainy for cats (except for Spook - but he's just crackers).
But whatever the weather, we sent CRC out to Tesco for cat food. This means not only do we get a wonderful feast when she gets home, but we also get to play with the umberella yay!
And how about this for an action shot.
I don't think the umberella is very waterproof now though! I'll tell CRC she needs a new one.

Sshhhh this is the best catnip on the street.
@ Wednesday, 15. Aug, 2007 – 09:41:50 am
Fellow cats.
Seeing as we'd 'loved' our original catnip apple to death, CRC ordered us a new one (they're only available online), and she ordered a catnip carrot, a second catnip apple (for upstairs), and a catnip rainbow! They arrived this morning

Fantastic! Heaven in a cloth toy

We're beside ourselves, high on catnip.
Old Toddy (the one with 'the big C') was first in. She chose the catnip rainbow.
So lovely to see her like this.
Fellow cats - these catnip toys are the best in the world. Get your humans to key 'catnip apple' into ebay immediately. They are a few quid each, but our last catnip apple amused all eight of us for a good 9 months!

Somehow the humans have managed to find another cat to adopt. I'll allow this one though seeing as she was found dumped in a box outside Asda in Cannock, clearly in need of love.
So here's Jazz seeing a washing machine for the first time:
Here she is having a cuddle with Ceefercat:
A match made in heaven. Snoozing look -
I'm glad they've found each other

Good luck Toddy
@ Monday, 16. Jul, 2007 – 04:01:27 pm
I just wanted to say good luck to Toddycat.
She's Crc's oldest companion, and has been with her for 14 years - faithful, through all the bad and good times they've had, even sleeping on her pillow every night.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) Toddy goes to the vet to have a tumor removed.
The tumor formed very quickly but the vet didn't feel the need to send the tumor away for analysis because of the cost verses Toddy's age. But Crc and Crc-hubby have decided to have it sent off anyway, so they know where they stand.
Lots of love Toddy, we'll all be waiting for you when you get home.

'tis the season to be seedy
@ Saturday, 07. Jul, 2007 – 07:03:05 pm
7 of us + 2
lazyrubbish gardeners = lots of seeds in the fur.CRC is having to brush us constantly hahaha. (don't tell them, but it would be quicker to mow the lawn and be done with it).
CRC and CRC-hubby have bought new chairs to replace the garden chairs they've been sitting on............
This is what we had.......
And this is our new chair.......
It's top class, and as you can see I approve of it

Squeaky in the dandelions
@ Tuesday, 01. May, 2007 – 07:10:50 pm
Well honestly! There I was forging my way through my own private jungle (I hope our humans don’t suddenly become keen gardeners), trying to sneak up on Ceefer to surprise him (for a change), when Classicrockchick appears with her camera.
She starts dancing about drawing attention to me, cooing things like “awww you’re sooo sweet. Just look at you with all those dandelion seeds on your head”. Hmmph. Ruined the moment. I completely failed to surprise Ceefer who was by now galloping towards me.
Oh well. I suppose it has to be done. I gave my best enigmatic pose. Do you like it?
You've probably all been wondering where I've been lately, but fear not. Someone had to make crc-hubby feel loved and wanted while Classicrockchick has been unwell, and I've been on cat-sitting duties too, keeping the family in check.

The grey tornado
@ Sunday, 28. Jan, 2007 – 08:53:02 pm
I thought I'd give my perspective on the new whipper-snapper that's landed in our peaceful house. Ceefercat. Yeeees very clever name.
He's a grey tornado! No decorum. In our faces, rugby tackling everyone, and causes chaos. He should conduct himself better. Hurrumph.
Here he is having chosen old Toddycat as his substitude mom:

She doesn't look too pleased though.Sophie however, has a new play-mate. Oh yes. She and Ceefer are like that. Inseparable. Tearing round the house chasing each other and flattening everyone. These young 'uns have so much energy.
Actually I have a soft spot for him. I don't mind (too much) when he shoves me out of the way and eats out of my bowl. I just look at him, and wait 'till he's had enough. Bless him. And today we both sat on Classic Rock Chick's lap - though it was a squeeze (good save - CRC). He leant on me, and I washed his face for him, 'cos he still had some of
myhis Kat Kins Chunks round his eyebrows and ears.I'm sure he'll grow in to a fine adult.

Cat that got the cream.
@ Wednesday, 11. Oct, 2006 – 01:52:21 pm
It's a year this week since I joined Classic Rock Chick and IanResponds' family. I have of course missed my mom, dad, brother and sister - but I want to reassure them that Sophie and I are just fine and dandy.
We have all the cuddles we want (sometimes too many!) and plenty of nice places to nap.
Here I am having a cuddle with IanRespond - the Alpha Male, and earning myself a dairylea triangle:
Poor Hobbes had to have some teeth taken out yesterday. Here he is up on the garage roof, hoping that CRC wouldn't be able to catch him to take him to the vets!
We can always tell when there's a vet visit due - you can't fool us.
He's fine now though and troughing his way through a tin of tuna.
Bye.

Big Softie.
@ Thursday, 17. Aug, 2006 – 05:49:39 pm
Well now, what have I been doing? I’ve been very busy supervising Classicrockchick and IanRespond, and ensuring my place as Top Cat of the household. I’ve also been doing a lot of sunbathing during the heatwave, but now that it’s raining I’ve found time to come in and update my blog.
IanRespond has been working very hard as usual, and Classicrockchick has been dieting. Speaking from a cats’ point of view, I think IanRespond has had the easier time of it - judging by the wails of hungry despair coming from CRCs’ direction.
I know Hobbes worries that she might put the whole family on a diet, and is always pestering her for another breakfast/brunch/lunch/tea/supper etc. Here he is posing for the camera again:
But it all calms down when we gather to watch the original Star Trek every night at 7 and 8 on the Sci-fi Channel. It’s a family ritual. We may as well – there’ll be no more food or fuss forthcoming while that’s on. It’s just sickening the way IanRespond drools over Nurse Chapel:
even though she's blonde,
and CRC drools over the Captain:
And I swear CRC is the illegitimate child of Dr McCoy:
– their personalities are so alike.I felt it was time I took my rightful place as Top Cat. One swipe at current-top-cat Spook, and a bit of intimidating body-language – and I claimed my crown.
Don’t worry – Spook’s fine. He’s happily lying in a little pool of sunshine in the garden and muttering to himself.
Who says I’m just a big soft pussycat?
